About Profile Financial Services
Profile Financial Services was founded in 1989 by Frank Smith and Garry Ohlsen.
Garry Ohlsen joined the industry in 1977, specialising in Corporate Superannuation advice for small business owners after forming an association with Frank in 1986.
Frank’s beginnings in the financial services industry date back to 1961 when he originally started in Corporate Superannuation for small business owners. He was a member of the very first class to complete the Diploma of Financial Planning with Deakin University in 1990. Frank retired from the industry in 1994.
Phillip joined the industry in 1996, following the completion of his studies at the Australian National University (ANU). He has spent the majority of his career working in offices attached to Chartered Accounting Practices where he has accomplished a very sound understanding of business structures and taxation. Phillip joined Profile in 2003 and became a Director of the business in 2007.
Profile continues to implement a succession plan in order to maintain a non-institutional ownership structure and provide a career path for staff within the business.
